This course is structured into two complementary components: a theoretical foundation and a practical application. The theoretical module spans one day, introducing participants to the motivation, philosophy, fundamental principles, and operational rules of the SIP protocol, along with its role in implementing telecommunications services, with a specific focus on IP telephony and VoIP. The subsequent two-day practical module allows participants to explore the operational aspects of services through hands-on laboratory exercises. These sessions provide detailed insights into configuring SIP telephony architecture components, analyzing SIP signaling via message sequence charts and internal message structures, and tackling typical challenges, including security concerns and telecom fraud prevention. Trainers will leverage their extensive experience in deploying, operating, and managing SIP telephony systems, including virtualization and cloud-based solutions. The practical training utilizes both SIP hardphones and softphones, alongside IP telephony servers such as Asterisk and FreeSWITCH. Participants are encouraged to benefit from the trainers' rich technical and business expertise in IP telephony by presenting their own problems and questions, which will be incorporated into the agenda during the wrap-up session to address urgent client needs.
