Session 1 – Virtual (2 hours): Communication and Organization within Google Workspace

  • Gmail: Structuring emails and maximizing productive usage
  • Google Calendar: Setting up events, reminders, and meetings; overseeing shared calendars
  • Google Meet: Initiating video calls from Gmail and Calendar; utilizing collaboration features like chat, recording, and screen sharing
  • Practical exercise: Simulating a workday using Gmail, Calendar, and Meet to coordinate team tasks

Sessions 2, 3, and 4 – In-person (12 hours total): Cloud-Based Productivity and Collaboration

  • Google Drive: Generating, organizing, and retrieving files; sharing documents and controlling access permissions
  • Google Docs: Drafting collaborative documents; utilizing comments, suggestions, and revision tracking
  • Google Sheets: Applying basic formulas, pivot tables, and charts; engaging in real-time co-editing
  • Google Slides: Creating online presentations; working together on slide decks
  • Communications – Chat/Gemini: Introduction to and usage of these tools
  • Practical exercise: Group project involving the creation of a Drive folder containing a document, spreadsheet, and presentation with AI integration
