- Create and utilize complementary visual aids
Preparing the Trainer
- The three fundamental communication tools for a trainer:
- Verbal: Word choice; avoid slang and jargon
- Vocal: Tone and delivery; eliminate distracting verbal tics and pauses
- Visual: Presenter's appearance; attire, mannerisms, and presence
- Rehearse the session and seek honest feedback from a trusted source
- Strategies for managing nerves
Preparing the Environment
- Room layouts: How seating arrangements convey underlying messages
