- The relationship between Controllers and Processors, including the role of third parties.
- Transferring personal data to third countries or international organizations.
- Rights of data subjects.
- The functions of the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and Independent Supervisory Authorities (ISAs).
- Data breaches, enforcement mechanisms, and liability.
- Processing of personal data concerning children.
- Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations (PECR) 2003.

The course is delivered by an expert NobleProg trainer approved by BCS.
The fee covers the full course syllabus delivered by an approved BCS trainer and the BCS Practitioner Data Protection exam. This exam can be taken remotely at your convenience and is centrally invigilated by BCS. Upon successfully passing the exam (a multiple-choice format requiring a minimum score of 65%), participants will be awarded the accredited BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection.
Requirements
While not mandatory, holding the BCS Foundation Certificate in Data Protection is highly desirable.
We strongly advise candidates to attend an accredited training course and ensure they are thoroughly familiar with the GDPR, the syllabus, and any recommended readings outlined therein.
