Requirements

  • Proven experience managing Windows Server operating systems and workloads in on-premises settings, including AD DS, DNS, DFS, Hyper-V, and File and Storage Services.
  • Familiarity with standard Windows Server management tools (as implied by the primary prerequisite).
  • Foundational knowledge of core Microsoft technologies covering compute, storage, networking, and virtualization (as implied by the primary prerequisite).
  • Basic understanding of on-premises resiliency technologies for Windows Server-based compute and storage, such as Failover Clustering and Storage Spaces.
  • Practical experience in implementing and managing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) services within Microsoft Azure.
  • Basic knowledge of Azure Active Directory.
  • Foundational understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, encryption, multi-factor authentication, and SIEM/SOAR solutions.
  • Basic proficiency in PowerShell scripting.

Audience:

This three-day course is primarily intended for IT professionals who manage on-premises Windows Server environments and seek to utilize Azure for managing server workloads and securing virtual machines operating on Windows Server 2019. Additionally, the course is beneficial for any role involving administrative and operational tasks related to Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) workloads.
